A stylized stingray prowls in the depths…
Is it really November already? I’m not sure I would notice the time racing by if not for the monthly challenge of creating a desktop wallpaper :]
This month I wanted to go dark and atmospheric. I found some great texture images and also played around with some Photoshop brushes to create the background. I kept the design simple, with just my stylized stingray and the calendar.
I couldn’t find a font that went with the stingray lines, which was a problem since the month is a big part of the composition. Instead, I created the letters with the pen tool after sketching them out. As usual, I made all vector shapes in Illustrator and then copied them into Photoshop to give them layer effects and merge them in with the background.
Here it is without the calendar:
Yes, I like my desktop uncluttered, which makes for quiet wallpapers! Hope you like it :]
