The crisp air and changing colors make my hikes even more beautiful this time of year. The deer are just as plentiful, only now half of them sport small racks of antlers as they prowl the neighborhoods for tasty nibbles out of unprotected gardens.

I just got a new mac mini, and dug out my neglected widescreen monitor to go with it. It’s awesome to design on a large monitor again – I love my macbook air, but the screen gets quite cramped when working in Photoshop and Illustrator.
Wood burning has always drawn me with its whisperings of fire and ash. However, I could never get over how permanent it was! One mistake and you ruin the entire slab of wood. I tried to recreate the look with my wallpaper this month – it’s so nice to be able to erase your mistakes and start over when needed :]
