Who’s not busy these days? Sometimes it seems we are just keeping our heads above water. Take time to smell the flowers, if you can find them under all the rain… or just go for a moonlit swim!

I’ve been working on a sketching project this year, where I sketch each day from a daily calendar featuring animals. It’s a great way to get yourself to take the time to sketch: find a daily calendar with a subject you like (architecture, people, animals, landscapes), and sketch that subject each day. If you miss a day or two, it doesn’t take long to catch up!
The animals I sketch lately seem to leap into my mind in vector format, and this bear was a favorite of mine. You can see it go from sketch to final wallpaper over on my personal blog.
